Learning to dive

There is a Dive School a couple of doors away from our house and that means that we often see divers training just outside our house.
Here it looks as if the trainer is reading instructions to a trainee from a book.  The 'book' must be made of waterproof material.
They will probably be going on to dive on the sunken wrecks in Scapa Flow near the third Churchill Barrier in the Burray area.
