Haystack or is it straw?

We went for a lovely walk round the village's open countryside this afternoon. Its a walk we havent done for a while as either weather has been too hot or when we had a lot of rain earlier in the year the pathways get very muddy and impossible to walk in.

All the fields have now been harvested and it won't be long before the whole growing process starts again.
