Still life

As I was looking through blips today, I was taken by "hobbs" photo and the link to Pictorialism as a discipline of photography.  I spent the next few hours reading up on Pictorialism.  With the heavy smoke outside we are urged to stay inside.  So I tried to work on pictorialism with a still life I could take in my office.  I couldn't quite get the look I was after with Lightroom and I had not started using/learning photoshop yet.  This of course has now let to another few hours starting to view the tutorials Adobe has on Photoshop.  I have not tried anything yet in Photoshop, it appears it will take awhile to view all the tutorials.
