Two Sycamores and a Chestnut
Today I tried to capture the spotlight effect of the sun on the trees.
More obvious large
The sycamores (Acer pseudplatanus) are stretched upwards because they were very densely planted before a major thinning and renovation about ten years ago. The small chestnut (Castanea sativa) would have been planted at about the same time, but has not thrived. It is quite badly scored on the trunk either by badgers clawing or, more likely, deer rubbing their new antlers to remove the skin.
