Wooden Lego Man

What on earth is this you may well ask, but I am no clearer about the origin or purpose of this wooden Lego man than are you. He is always supine on his wheel barrow and braves all weathers.

However I had no time to ponder the question as my brother and sister- in - law popped into see us on the way north from Bath to the delights of Birnam in Perthshire to stay with a friend.
It was lovely to see them again after their 50th wedding anniversary when His Lordship and I travelled south to celebrate it with them at this time last year.
It’s such a pity that they live so far away but it makes it all the more special when we meet up.

I find it comforting to hear that after 40+ years in deepest England they still retain their Scottish accents although their children and grandchildren have Yorkshire and West Country ones. It’s a strange thing with the accents of people migrating from one area to another one. Some readily acquire the accent of the new region, while others seem immune.
