A wee shopping trip to Avignon today with Carrie and Marie-Claire...class! Got brilliant jokes for Sarah for her birthday - snappy chewing gum, a doorbell that sprays water at you, a fake poo...you know the deal :)

Picked the girls up from school, gave Sarah her pressies, had some birthday cake and then headed back into the village for the Descente des Flambeaux - this involves small children from the primary school walking up a massive hill in the dark with flaming torches to reach the castle in Entrechaux. Talk about a health & safety nightmare.

Went to the Mairie for vin chaud and crepes afterwards.
