Sunset and Mount Kinabalu
Last back blip from Borneo
Today we drove to the Sabah tea garden and en route we stopped at the Gomantong caves where the swallows nests are used for birds nest soup. The nest harvest was starting the following day and there were men there putting up scaffolding in preparation. The cave was fascinating and full of bats. It didn't smell quite as bad as I feared! Outside we saw four orangurans including a large pregnant one who was eating lots of leaves and berries. At the tea plantation we had a little picket fenced cottage with the mountain above as our view. It was magical!
