Carefully Does It!
So today the insulation arrived... at least half of it did... I've spent a fair bit of time estimating how much was needed, in various thicknesses, how it was going to be fitted and then sourcing it, but my biggest concern was how was it going to get here.
It wasn't clear if it was coming in an artic, an 18 tonner or whatever and couldn't make it up the road never mind the track. But it was a fine... he parked at the farm and came with his own wide fork truck and he drove backwards up the hill. Warnings were given, don't drop them on the fence, don't drop them on the sheep sleeping beside the fence and don't scratch the neighbours' cars! At one stage the top half did slip towards the fence... eeek... but he stopped and pushed them back on. I'm sure he had other watchers too, the pressure must have been on.
BTW... did you know that you can rent Hertz vans 24x7 via an app which gives you a pin code that opens a rental van in say Ikea or Costco and access to the keys... you then pay for how much you've used. Wow... it had been the option of last resort!
After work I began cutting and fitting it... it's really easy to cut and is light, but you have to get it fitting tight so a bit fiddly. I'll need to amend the preparatory rafter work I did to make that process easier though, but got about a third of one side done.
Aye, at least I spared you another inside attic blip!
