Blackberry Moon!

The Full Moon isn’t officially due until 12.56 on Sunday, August 26, but clear skies are not guaranteed☺  -  1.00 this morning the sky was as clear as it can ever be so it had to be a Moon blip.  The August Moon is also named after our First Minister  - Nicola Sturgeon.  Well, maybe not after her☺, but some Native Americans called it the Sturgeon Moon because the Sturgeon fish were plentiful and easily caught during this month.  One tribe called it the Blackberry Moon  -  certainly the blackberries are very ripe and abundant at the bottom of my garden at the moment!
