Better views from Arthur's Seat in my opinion

I have paid twice to see the castle and both times I felt like I paid too much. The views are spectacular and you do get to see some of the family jewels but I could not shake the feeling of 'this is it for 14 Pounds?'. I think 14 Pounds would be better spent on nice pack lunch and a hike to the top of Arthur's Seat or a train ticket to Stirling to Stirling castle which is way more cool!
