It's been a really bad.....

....year for apples, in my garden at least.

Out of the four apple trees we have, one didn't fruit at all, one got attacked by wasps and one had a few apples. The only one that did well was the smallest tree which only producing about 25-30 at best.

Think it was the cold March? or very hot early summer?

No Cider to be made this year, just a few apple pies I think.

I have cut down a big conifer next to our biggest apple tree so hopefully it will have a new lease of life next year.
