With fronds like these, who needs anemones!

Some days are fun days, but others are just workaday days!  Today is one of the latter. Shopping in the morning, showery enough to stay around the house in the afternoon and not the sort of day to photograph otters on the rocks or ferries in the docks!

I eventually put together a group of potted ferns with differing fronds, sizes and habits. This stems (!) from a chat about ferns I once had with somebody when they told me that as far as they were concerned, all ferns were bracken! They are not, as I hope you'll agree, and are quite ornamental in their own right, even without flowers.
