Cool, Calm, Collected...

Today has been lovely.

David was up and away by 9.00am to play golf at Milngavie.  R came to take Lola out at 9.30 and Alan was doing his own thing with Jordan and Lisa.

I ate a leisurely breakfast (cereal & strawberries) and Lola and I have spent the rest of the day in the garden room, enjoying the sunshine, which was a surprise as I thought the forecast was rain.

Other than photographing this rose from the bunch David bought me yesterday, nothing has really been achieved today in a physical sense (apart from two loads of washing) but I have enjoyed a day of time to myself, time to think, time to organise and time to plan for events that will be happening over the next few weeks.  

Sometimes getting some headspace is exactly what's needed.

David is not long back and has had a decent round of golf so is quite happy.  I have a G&T and dinner is in the oven so my mellow Friday continues.

P.S.  David home after being away all day and it's the other blonde who gets all the affection (see extra)  She's even looking at me with that "suck it up loser!" expression!  :-))
