Hardcastle Crags Valley
Hardcastle Crags is a densely-wooded valley with the River Hebden (Hebden Water) flowing through it. When walking through the valley it can be difficult to comprehend just how dense the woodland is.
Just above the valley, there is farmland - mostly used for sheep - leading on to moorland.
This Blip - taken from Old Town shows how clearly defined the tree line is - at just under 1,000ft here in Calderdale.
