View from the Sandstone trail

Another grey day, but we (Roger, Laura and I) still got out for a walk on the Sandstone trail, starting at Overton Hill. From this stretch of the trail, you have a fine view across the Mersey estuary to Liverpool. We go up there, to Frodsham or Helsby Hill quite regularly when we’re in the area, but we got quite a surprise this time, as they’ve put in quite a few new wind turbines since we were last up there. By the time we got back, Janet had been to Manchester airport with Bernard to pick up Bernard’s brother Dick, who had flown up from Exeter, just in time for the big day tomorrow. Then late at night - about 11pm - Roger and I had another trip to the airport to pick up Jen, returning from her two days in Geneva with her friend Magali!
