Friday: Bojan

Some of you may remember that before moving to Canada two years ago, we spent four years living in Croatia. We have returned for a little holiday to catch up with friends and to see what has changed.

We transited through Frankfurt this morning and arrived in Zagreb around mid-day. We've got a nice little apartment in the centre of town.

Neither of us really slept on the flights so we were feeling a bit other by this afternoon. We did have an hour's nap before heading out to meet Bojan for a few drinks. It was really good to see him and we had a great catch-up. When I met him several years ago he was an Assistant Minister in the government. Now he's an opposition MP so had plenty to say about the state of Croatia - and lots of other stuff too.

It's so nice being back - everything is so hugely familiar. It's almost like the last two years haven't happened. But they have, I have blip evidence.

In all fairness to Bojan, I was telling him to do mean and moody in this shot.
