Cashmere
We went to look at the craft fair at St John’s today. It was missing last year as the church was having a ‘conservatory’ put in at the east end. There were some different stalls and some good craft work. I was taken by the oblique light catching the edge of a cashmere rug. We then went down to the Edinburgh Photographic Society exhibition; it usually really annoys as there is way too much digital art, but this year it was rather bland. There were some well observed and treated scenes as well as some nonsense ones, but the overriding impression was that the judges really like solitary trees in the snow. The extra is washing drying in a back green in the Dean Village.
