For Sale: 99K

That's what it says on a tiny tag in the window.

This attention getter was in the Costco parking lot this morning when we went to get an air purifier. I bought the purifier and a small container of blueberries, which seemed to mystify the cashier and amaze the other shoppers who could barely manouver their stuffed-to-the-brim mega carts. I was surprised they allowed me to purchase only two things.

But back to the featured image. I learned a new word:  replicar, which means pretty much what it sounds like. But I'm confused. A sign in the window reveals:
“This 1932 Packard recreation is not a kit car. It was manufactured by Packard. Bayliff Coach Corp is the owner of the Packard automobile and all trademarks. There were only 2 built by Packard in an attempt to reenter the market. Most of the body is metal.”

At first I thought this car was an original, but after reading the blurb I'm thinking that it is a very nice copy. Sometimes they build a car on a chassis from a different car, sometimes they tear a car down and rebuild it with new parts. At least I think that's what I read. It's very complicated. I'm hoping to hear from my car expert and will amend this post if I need to...
