Anglesey Abbey

Last full day in the UK. Another fabulous day! J and I visited Anglesey Abbey. We spent the whole day there. We visited the house and at exactly twelve o’clock we saw one of the mechanical clocks chime and dance!
A picnic in the garden, followed by mint choc chip ice cream, then a walk into the rose garden to elect the flower with the loveliest scent, which we decided was Princess Alexandra. Finally, a demonstration at Lode mill.

On the way to the mill we saw this hornet nest, which I’m sure royk13 would love! Unfortunately it was in the shade and a clear picture proved quite difficult. It was amazing, though.
