Bee first aid

I noticed a very flat looking bee outside the house this morning. It's chilly and breezy here today, & I thought it was probably cold and tired.

I made up some sugar water, & the bee went straight to it, taking some through its probiscus like this, & it also put some to its mouth with its little arms. When it had finished drinking it climbed onto the stone, and after 5 minutes or so started pulsing its body, as if it was pumping its blood round. About 15 minutes after I put the water down it was able to fly off...this has made me surprisingly happy :)
