Gussie On The Loose

Well nearly, we decided to walk to the Ahoy Cafe for an iced coffee and take Gussie our Jack Russell along with us.
The lane separating the two halves of the cemetery has been recently cleared and cleaned and I was surprised at how wide it is but fortunately it is still blocked to vehicles.

The clearing and cutting back of the hedgerows allows passers by outside the cemetery to view areas not normally visible without some effort to get to these normally overgrown areas. Today’s main photograph is of some of the WWI Commonwealth War Graves within the graveyard.
At the time of internment it must have been difficult to cope with the slope which is about 30*. Interred within this area are a variety of nationalities and in this the centenary year of the end of WWI it’s good to see the local authority committed to cleaning and clearing the area.

We never did get our iced coffee, Ahoy was closed, so we settled for hot coffee and heavy cake at Princess Pavilions.
