I spoke to the anaesthetist first thing, Jeanie's operation should happen about 10 and would take a couple of hours with an hour or more in recovery, so i set off at lunch time. When I arrived on the ward she had just arrived back, and was very agitated. She did not know why or what the oxygen mask was and so kept trying to pull it off, and she cried every couple of minutes when the anti pressure mattress re inflated.  It was a hard few hours.
I left and Lin phoned and invited me to go around for supper, which was much needed.
