Looking to Spring

We have had a bit of rain although we are gonna need a lot more. We have had a political kerfuffle in Canberra. Oh joy (not) ... and Blackheath's characteristic mist fog is in evidence once more.

In the Australian context, spring officially begins in five days and I am looking forward to that. Despite the lack of snow and the distinct lack of rain, it's been pretty cold in the mountains this winter. The coming of spring means leaves on trees, flowers in full bloom and a generally cheerier atmosphere. It might also mean bush fires, and heat waves come summer. ...... You can't have everything, I guess.
