Jazz in the rain

Down in Rye for their jazz and blues festival. We saw a number of free events including this amazing guy with his electric violin. My favourite was the Blue band Catfish I hate the phrase but Awesome would adequately describe them.
It couldn't have rained any harder. The events we saw were outdoors and we were soaked. So much for British summer and it was a typical bank holiday weekend.

We had an interesting meal in an award wining restaurant this evening. We had to ask for a vegetarian menu and then did not know what we were having until it arrived. Thankfully it was very good but the service was very slow and it was a good thing we weren't in a hurry. It was a shame as though the meal was very tasty we would not return there.

We finished the evening in a champagne bar listening to an ex Dexys Midnight Runners playing a set on his keyboard.

A great day and evening. Now in our B & B hoping that tomorrow the rain will have stopped.
