A Sunday Seed Stealer

A Sunday picture had not yet been taken , so I went down to the downtown garden. A local man has taken over 4 lots...an empty lot, his house, his parent's house, and a dentist's office, and has all of them looking very purty.

I got a bee and a swallowtail before a pair of finches showed up. It was a male and a female, but I don't think they were a couple. He was trying to run her off all the good sunflowers.

Always a bonus when you get a little bird tongue.

Family dinner at our house today. 13 of us for Lisa's famous barbeque (given to her by Shelley's (Naturelover) mother...many years ago.
