Walking by the Hawea River

Today the 17 members of the walking group parked at Camphill Road, and walked from there to Lake Hawea, where we had our lunch in the shelter of the Kanuka trees.  It was a very strong breeze!  Here we are walking back to the cars along the Hawea River.  The extra is Mount Maude in the distance.

We had a nice cuppa at a local cafe before heading for home.  Another excellent day out, but a bit far for me.  Over 19,000 steps, which is over 12 k's.  About +13C.  Time to put my feet up in front of a nice fire.

That's me in the extra.  I often look like this!!
