A punnet of cherries

I noticed a few weeks ago that there are not many cherries in a punnet. A couple of times I took to counting how many there were. Typically there were 16, today I counted 20. Quite a few more, but as they are sold by weight I suppose today the cherries must have been relatively smaller.

I have also noticed that this year I only see these dark red cherries in the shops. In previous years I have also seen cherries which are more yellow than dark red. I wonder why the yellow ones are not around this year.
