An Ornithologist's Dream Come True!

Who would ever have guessed?  As we were entering the very charming town of Newburyport, Massachusetts this afternoon, we glanced to our right at the scenic Merrimack River, and were astounded to see these three penguins sunning themselves on a rocky outcropping!

Some local wag must get a great deal of pleasure watching unsuspecting folk swerve to the side of the road with their mouths hanging open!  I Googled "penguins in Newburyport, MA" and found a couple of articles relating to them -- here's one of them.  It would seem these characters have been stealing the limelight for at least the past five years!
