Garden Prep: Before and After

You can barely make out the stone wall in the before shot! I have plans to cover my whole vegetable garden in wood chips. I have strawberries in there already ... but I am unsure whether or not they'll be able to push through a very thick layer of wood chips next Spring, so I am going to move some of my strawberry plants over to this top tier bed. It was a mess and so annoying for Mr. Badger to mow anyways ... so now I ripped everything out and covered it in wood chips we picked up from the DPW. Not fun in 85F weather! But at least the hard part is done ... now I just need to transplant some strawberry plants and hope they have enough time to re-establish themselves before the frost comes!
