Crime scene
It’s still raining. Claire and I both have work to do - which we intersperse with more tidying. Owen and Angus pitch in too and by lunchtime the Garden is just about back to its natural state.
Owen heads back to Glasgow. His mother wants the car back and he has gin to tend to. We’re down to two tents and a yurt - and they won’t come down until next weekend.
I pull the sheep’s carcass out of the fridge and carve off almost 5kg of cooked meat, which goes straight into the freezer. Angus rustles up a land fry-up for lunch.
We have a visit from a heat pump salesperson. Two survey companies fail to return my calls. Our Nationwide debit cards get declined. A normal day in contemporary capitalist society.
Claire heads to Kinghorn. Angus to Glasgow. I finish off some work before eating more lamb. Tomorrow Norway.
