Mugu Airport

"Airport" is a very loose term here. This is one of the most dangerous airports in the world, and as we flew past it on the way in it was easy to see why! First, it is surrounded by massive hilly peaks which we flew very low over, and secondly, it's perched on the side of a hill with sheer drops at both ends and to the left as you land. A mistake here would be disastrous!

Fortunately, we made a perfect landing! This was the landing strip that was the inspiration for the spot in Nepal that Dusty landed on in Disney Pixar's 'Planes'.
