Crested crane

It was 6 degrees and foggy, much as it has been for the past 3 days.
Mrs CB thought this was the ideal time to visit Tropicaland jardin zoologique, perhaps she thought it would have its own tropical climate?
The first animals were all plastic, dinosaurs etc, then we had 'carnivore alley', which was all birds, mainly doves and the like, although it did have a plant pot with unidentified grasses marked as a 'carnivore plant'. All my fingers are still intact, inspite of giving it a quick poke. Then there were various goats, guinea pigs, one alpaca and one llama, several wallabies including an albino, a plastic alligator, several plastic mannekins dressed as pirates plus the cream of the crop, a crested crane, some beautiful parrots and a couple of golden pheasants...quite magnificant. We had a great time, actually, then came home to watch the rugby..at least I did.
