A(nother)View From The Sixth Tee
You'd think that, with all that space around it, it would be easy to avoid the tree that sits in the middle of the 6th fairway when hitting your tee shot from 100 yards away but it's amazing how often we (OK, I!) manage to hit it.
Today was one of those days. To add insult to injury, my ball dropped like a stone into the ditch that runs beneath it. Despite this, and a disaster at the next hole involving more than one shot in a bunker, I managed to post a really decent score. I suspect a reduction in handicap is imminent.
We spent the afternoon tidying the garden and house as we're off for a few days tomorrow and, in our absence, our friend Chris's daughter and her family are staying over on their way back from Cornwall and Kate, Joel and Sophie are joining them to catch up.
