Arley Arboretum

M. (eldest daughter) and myself were going to have a day in today and then do something on Wednesday as it will be the last time we can have a day out together before we go back to our respective schools on Monday after the summer holidays(she is going away on Thursday for a few days with her friend) but the weather forecast said it was going to rain on Wednesday so as it was dry today we decided to visit Arley Arboretum instead of tomorrow. We went on a Mystical Scavenger Hunt around the grounds (really for children but we enjoyed it just the same), got lost in the maze, had lunch and CAKE!! and just enjoyed spending a couple of hours just walking and admiring the beautiful plants and flowers. Back home for tea and then settled down to watch 'Great British Bake Off' time to blip and off to bed.
