Clouds Illusions

Today the clouds decided to pay us a visit.

Sometimes the sun peeped through and all was bright....at other times it was obscured and it became quite dark. They were serious clouds!

At one point I actually thought we were in for a downpour and suddenly, being on the first floor, took on a whole new meaning!!!!

For the past 17 years, whenever clouds appeared, we would have been racing round our old ground floor flat looking for newspapers and towels to shore up the defences on the back door which always seemed to let the floodwaters from the drains into the kitchen! Now we could really appreciate and even enjoy clouds from our lofty vantage point!

Needless to say....they flitted and floated across the sky at varying speeds and took their ample water supply with them never leaving a single drop for us. Not to be entirely defeated, as we drove out in the late afternoon to visit friends, I was able to capture their effect upon our otherwise very ordinary sunsets!

We too had a stunning sky tonight!
