Holy Isle

Left home at 10:00 and headed for the 12:30 crossing from Ardrossan to Brodick. Plenty of time for a wander and to watch the ferry come in. Once aboard a quick CalMac lunch and then up on deck to watch Arran approach. This is Holy Isle which sits just to the east of Arran.

We are delighted to be back at Auchrannie for three nights. Not only that but it's a proper gathering of the clan with 11 of us here. The young and youngest, 7 in all, are in a lodge but my sister, brother-in-law, Cameraman and I (and Otter) have opted for the hotel. We will be eating at the lodge tonight courtesy of food brought on the ferry by everyone but us. We will be having a glass of fizz because today is Cameraman and my wedding anniversary and better than that we are all together. We will be having a toast to absent friends and relaxing into another island minibreak.
