A Bit Bedraggled
There's a spot of shade on the patio, so I set up my tripod and aimed my camera in the direction of the hummingbird feeder. Business was slow, probably due to the incredible heat and humidity. Behind me I heard squawking that went on for several minutes. All that sound was coming out of this little Carolina Wren. Since I had the tripod, I was able to turn down the speed so I could get a decent shot in the shadow of the trees, without requiring a crazy high ISO. It looks like this wren is heading into molting season. He needs a new tail feather or two.
A huge thank you for your lovely comments on my dahlia yesterday!
