Hill Top Ramblings

Hips and Haws

A rather autumnal feel at Howe Ridding this afternoon. The damsons are nearly ripe, plenty of blackberries, and most of the butterflies are finished.
There were plenty of speckled woods though and one surprise a Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary, presumably a second brood, which really never happens. It has been an unusual year for weather so they must be a bit confused!
