Victoria Amazonica

We went to a place called Hughes Water Garden south of Portland today.  It's always fun to see what is blooming in the garden and I could show you some exotic tropical lilies, but I chose to feature these huge leaves that don't even look real. It was a warmish day and inside the tropical greenhouse it is exceedingly warm and it's a challenge to stay focused (no pun intended) on the photography when it's so uncomfortable.  I got a few good shots but not as good as I'd like.  I think my photography skills are deteriorating, truth be told.  Such is life.
