Travelling from Nelson to Picton via the Queen Charlotte Drive is the slightly longer, but more scenic route.

A lookout on the hillside nearing Picton provides a good view of Waimahara Wharf. The wharf opened in 2000 and is operated by Port Marlborough, NZ.

Tomorrow were are travelling on the Cook Strait ferry to Wellington - by all accounts we are expecting a rough trip once we clear the Sounds and cross the actual strait. Worthwhile though as we are off to see our daughter and grandchildren.



Yesterday was a busy day and there was no time to take a photo for blip, but a big thank you to everyone who has continued to sprinkle stars and hearts for my recent blips.
