sundown downtown

saturday morning, so up and alive alive o' at 6am. Why can't i sleep in at weekends?! even after that heavy evening of birthday alcoholic participation!

plenty to do this weekend. was conscious that the to do list i'd written last Sunday still hadn't got anything crossed off it! breakfast, saturday kitchen, shower and then off shopping.

called at mums for a cuppa and then back to mine to get the Christmas Creole cake on the go. mixture done, and then nipped it round to mums for her to bake whilst i scoot off into town to meet Mrs Kirk.

i don't do buy shopping. goes against the grain me going into town at 3pm. can't be doing with crowds and dwardlers....in no time at all i'd bitten some young lads heels, trying to get by him.

wandered back towards M&S, and spotted the sunset, glowing. wandered towards castlegate, but only had iphone with me. took a few good pics. took this one near middle pavement. the sky looked like it was on fire - gorgeous!

met Mrs K in the Keans Head. i got there 15 mins before and ordered a half of cherry beer. beautiful! great to see Madam K, and another couple of cherry beers downed. had great meal of corned beef hash with fried egg and homemade beans.

back home (Mrs K is doing a late night run back into town to pick up Mr K from the Carl Froch fight).
