Nose Work

A busy day at work and then 30 mins in the dog training hall to do some work with Hero before we continued to the dog club in Hvalsø.

Gollum started a Beginners Nose Work Class today and Biscuit started an advanced class. 

In Nose Work, dogs learn to search for a specific odor or odors and find the source. Today it was lavender as that is the first odor they will meet if they ever get to go to a competition. 

Gollum has done some Nose Work in the past, so he found this first day a bit boring, but I am sure it will be better, once the rest of the dogs in the class knows a little more too. And to be honest, Gollum is easily bored ;-). I did hide a few lavender scented swaps for him to find whilst the rest of the dogs were busy searching for treats and he thought that was great.

Biscuit really enjoyed his training and he did so well. There were only 4 dogs in the advanced class, so he got to work lots and he was super excited. 

Helle and Ex-it joined Gollum in the beginners class and Helle and Doggie joined the advanced class, so we had a good time catching up on things during training too. 

My main blip today is Biscuit waiting for his turn, whilst another sheltie is searching in the background.
