Kendal Bank

Good to see the original name of this bank on a sunny day in Kendal. Kendal Bank started as two small local family banks in 1788 who merged in 1840 and built this grand building in 1873. Through many takeovers - Liverpool Bank which became Martins in 1928  and Barclays in 1969. A lot of local history has passed through these doors.
