The Old Homestead

Back blipping with an old photo to keep up my blipping. Its the archetypal image, isn't it of an Australian abandoned settlement with items that are left behind that can be easily imagined out of sight and a fence post suggests a gate. The earth has cracked from erosion and the silence is palpable because abandoned is what it is.

It is where my maternal grandparents raised 12 children.
