On the way in , or out...
Grangemouth is the largest container port in Scotland and I was there this morning to do interviews about a new discussion paper on Trade & Brexit which the Scottish Govenrment has published.
I was fascinated by the constant, well ordered, process going on - a vast variety of containers being brought or taken away by a stream of lorries, placed or removed from exactly where required, picked up or set down by specialist carrying vehicles, and carried rapidly to or from the ship where a massive crane loads or unloads them in a process that can turn round a vessel in 24 hours.
A process that is vital part of the lifeblood of modern Scotland yet those who manage it have no kowledge of how it may change as a result of Brexit, because the UK Govenrment is still unable to say.
