A morning in the Botanic Gardens

I needed to visit the Waterstones shop in Byres Road this morning so after collecting yet another new Waterstones Plus card and having a coffee I crossed the road to the Botanic Gardens.

It has been such a beautifully warm and sunny day and I met and spoke to so many lovely people including the 'Three Guys' in the extra photo. We met at one of the flower beds where I was down on hands and knees photographing (rather unsuccessfully) some Nigella flowers. I'll leave you to work out which of the three asked if he could take my photograph.

The sunflower was enjoying the warming rays of the sun unlike the giant sunflowers that still stood tall but their sunny faces were withered and bent towards the earth.
