Lazy sunday
Long lie in. Breakfast in bed (warm vanilla and choc chip brioche and a big steaming mug of tea), a bit of a snooze.
Walk in Risley Moss. Ignored the rude people with dogs and loud voices who bounded into the hide where we were sat quietly taking photos of the birds (which all scattered when they heard the dogs and loud voiced pompous sounding bloke reading to everyone in a 100 yard radius about the amount of seed that is bought and distributed in the Moss each year).
Took a load of pics, wish the birds would stay still! Went to the observation tower, and observed the assembled throng of twitchers...Corin was stood below the tower listening to them...I have no problem with bird watchers ...technically I am turning into one myself. But why is it that bird watchers, train spotters et al, quite often have a nerdy appearance and Mr Bean- like voices. We decided on our walk back that they aren't bird watchers, they were sounding more like bird perverts ...the excitement over a particular bird that had been spotted (not by any of the aforementioned throng of spotters) was bordering on weird...we walked away before I started laughing.
Please note - I am not trying to upset or offend any fellow blippers who might also be bird watchers - because I am sure none of you are anything like the gang that lurk with intent at the Moss!
Home - defrosted, uploaded, deleted 100 out of th 135 pictures (trying to be organised and not keep things for the sake of it).
Lunch - fresh pasta, shredded bacon, fresh parmesan, chilli and black pepper.
James just got back home - apparently he and his friend finally went to sleep at 1 a.m. and were heard chatting again at 5am...they got up at 6.45! James looks tired - I suspect he's going to be asleep within 5 minutes of getting in the car to go to his dads this evening.
Its snowing here - thickening up - hopefully it might stick this time....as soon as it does and there's enough to build a snowman, I am out there!
