FlowerFriday
The zinnias are looking tired, the temperature dropped 20 degrees but it was beautifully dry and clear, the sweet potato vine has taken over the corner of this bed (background) and the crabgrass is poking through everywhere. Oh and this lens is so heavy I really need to use a tripod with it to get some clarity, but this is the best of the lot.
Had to go back to the dealership today because the tire pressure light came on after they had rotated the tires during an oil change - turns out the mechanic has to recalibrate on the computer - who knew getting the tires rotated was technological?
It was International Overdose Awareness day and a candlelight rally was held in a nearby town. A friend spoke about Sumner and 18 others - short few sentences about who they were before and even during their addictions. Beautifully done and a reminder that each and every one is someone's mother, father, child, husband, wife. Awareness is a good thing.
Many times today I was forced to slow down in traffic, while waiting for my car to be ready, waiting to meet Ben or listening to a friend who is having a difficult time after losing her son and now raising his 3 children. Grateful for these moments of taking time and paying attention. All in all a good day.
That abstract from yesterday was the seat back in the waiting area while getting my car serviced (the first time). And I can attest that it was comfortable.
