Timeless childhood memories

I had a discussion about this phenomenon a while ago on Blip with MissU2..

Used to see this a lot when i was a kid but it seems rarer nowadays. Perhaps because when i was a kid in the 70s &80s we all wore cheap crap trainers from Army & Navy? Perhaps because we didnt have xbox or Wii to keep us occupied? Perhaps because we were nasty little sods who threw mates trainers around telegraph lines?

Whatever it is the second i see this rare sight i am back in time in my ridiculously flared trousers and a three star jumper, making a quick escape on my raleigh chopper (the proper one with the scrotum removing gear shift) away from an irate shoeless chum :-)
