Spring Day

And, as seems to be the norm these days, the temperature skipped spring and went straight to summer.

But what a fun day we had.

Daniel, a colleague and the crazy guy in Viking gear hand built his longboat from a rough plan in only seven weeks.

He created a Viking village as part of the official launch and the APD raised funds serving endless numbers of boerewors, chickenwors, bratwurst and frankfurter rolls.

I was given the honour of charging and naming the ship, The Nordic Sea, done with beer and and a bottle of mead.

Certainly not your average Saturday.
